This forum needed a post...

Any tips/tricks you've learned to set up the susp/engine on your SX-R triples? Learned alot at TY, they have a ton of info on it.

Once I changed my helix, 2nd wind, weights to get the rpms they suggested, I could feel it in my arms immediately!

Lots more to go, some free tricks to do for another 5-8 hp gain. New track means adjustments needed though. Put a 1.25 ripsaw on it... OMG, what a difference!! smiley-faces7.gif

If you haven't already spent the money on adjustable transfer rods, don't. Just have the lower plastic washers on the stock rods cut down to about .100" thick. Transfer is much better, but not out of hand.

Stock skis suck, but nothing new about that.

Drill a bunch of 1/4" holes in the baffle plate in the airbox.

Smaller pilot jets

If you feel the rear suspension is too harsh, try moving the shock position adjuster to the soft setting, then crank the spring back up for proper sag. This will reduce the dampning rate. Depends how much you will be jumping it.

Bar riser is a must if you are over 4' 6"

TY has everything else I would recommend.
