another company in the early to mod 90's was taking the Indy chassis, and installing the 4-valve Suzuki 1100cc engines minus the tranny's, was guaranteed to do well over 120 on radar,, with that light chassis (at the time anyhow), and those engines, it surely would have

I originally thought that the Jag was going to have a Busa 1300 motor in it. I think that should come out next year.

When I led the CSC team at Michigan Tech in 2003 and 2004 we designed two of those. In 03 and 04 it was a sno-pro with a CBR600 F4i engine, and in 2005 and 06 the design was a ProX with a 954RR engine.

Much nicer looking than the sled linked above.

Took 2nd place both years with the 600F4i. Best Design, Best Value, Quietest Sled, etc. Would've won the second year, but had a seam split in our gas tank during the endurance/fuel efficiency event = 0 points. We still only lost by 22.

What kind of performance did you get out of the 600? was it a dog?
icyCorpse
gee, here's one with an R1 with a turbo, it's a m/c type engine, only better, it is gear reduction type

NEVER the busa motor is old and heavy. if AC did the yami thing of throwing in a bike motor they'd use the new gxsr1000...

It was hardly a dog. Although for the Clean Sled competition we had it tuned for emissions/fuel mileage/noise so it wasn't the fastest thing on snow. But before we did that, we clutched and tuned it for performance and it was a blast. Something about runnin at 12k RPM across the lake...

Not sure because the 954 wasn't built before I graduated. We did all of the PCIII mapping ourselves on the 600F4i through dyno testing (Land & Sea Water Brake).
